With the DBL, manufacturers have the freedom to adjust parameters such as beam shape, sequence, frequency, and focal depth at remarkable speeds - revolutionizing the possibilities of laser welding. Civan’s breakthrough technology provides supreme control over the thermal gradient in time and space as well as control over the melt pool and keyhole, which leads to the ability to influence weld geometry and solidification. With these capabilities users can weld faster, better quality, weld new materials. DBL in many cases allows the user to replace traditional joining methods which have high power consumption and high CO2 emission.

DYNAMIC BEAM LASERS

Civan's Dynamic Beam Laser (DBL) is an advanced laser technology for welding, offering unprecedented control and flexibility. The DBL allows manufacturers to quickly tailor the welding process to their specific applications.

The DBL is based on Optical Phase Array (OPA) technology, a form of coherent beam combining (CBC). By merging multiple single-mode laser beams into a larger beam, the DBL generates a diffraction pattern in the far field. This unique characteristic enables real-time manipulation of the beam shape without the need for any moving parts, resulting in a truly dynamic beam laser.
